Since 2018, BTH has been offering hospitality to people experiencing homelessness in the Duluth, MN region following discharge from the hospital for an acute medical condition. While guests stay with us, we work on housing and connections to supports in the community in hopes that they'll be in a better position when they leave our home. Visit our "News" page to read some recent coverage on how we're helping.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Want to help? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. From chores around the house to help with preparing meals to spending time with guests, we'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
One important way that Bob Tavani House offers hospitality and care to guests is through meals. If you would be willing to provite a meal or a restaurant gift card to support the house, please click below for more details.
In late February and early March of 2022, BTH hosted a series of virtual community conversations or "charettes" with local faith groups, governmental leaders, health system representatives, foundations, and other community partners. The sessions helped us gather input, share information, and engage with our community around the ongoing need for medical respite services among people experiencing homeless or housing insecurity in the Northland. Read the de-identified final charette report by clicking on the link below!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
